A private community for ANZ tech
professionals navigating today’s job market.
and a tech recruiter in your corner — in a market that rarely explains itself.
Why the Careersy Community exists
Most experienced tech professionals don’t struggle because they lack skill or effort.
They struggle because they’re making important career and job-search decisions in a market that gives very little feedback.
Across Australia and New Zealand, hiring is smaller, quieter, and more sensitive to signal, especially at senior levels. Fewer roles, longer processes, and limited transparency mean silence is common, but rarely explained.
As a result, capable people start second-guessing decisions they’d make confidently with context. They overcorrect based on weak signals, compare themselves to noise, and hesitate on roles or offers without understanding the real trade-offs.
Generic career advice doesn’t solve this. In a context-sensitive market, advice without context often creates more confusion, particularly when it’s imported from larger hiring ecosystems (like the US) that don’t reflect how ANZ hiring actually works.
What’s missing isn’t more information. It’s shared perspective.
Careersy exists to provide that missing layer: real, current context from others navigating the same market, combined with recruiter-true insight into how decisions are actually interpreted, while those decisions are still live.
What actually happens inside
Most people don’t struggle because they lack information. They struggle because they’re making decisions in isolation. Inside Careersy, progress comes from shared context and outside perspective, not more irrelevant noise.
Here’s what members consistently experience.
Clarity replaces guesswork
Instead of trying to infer what’s wrong from silence, members bring real, in-flight situations into the community.
That includes:
-
CVs that aren’t getting callbacks
-
LinkedIn profiles attracting the wrong roles
-
Messages that get polite replies but go nowhere
-
Offers that look good on paper but feel risky in context
These are discussed openly with people who’ve hired in the ANZ market, navigated similar transitions, or seen the same patterns play out before.
The outcome isn’t generic advice, it’s a clear explanation of why something isn’t working right now, and what to change next.
Correct feedback changes behaviour
This isn’t theoretical feedback.
Someone shares a draft. Another challenges the positioning. A third explains what worked — or didn’t — in a similar situation.
You’ll see:
-
assumptions questioned
-
trade-offs made explicit
-
decisions reframed in real time
That loop repeats. Over time, people stop asking “What should I do?”
And start asking “Given this context, what’s the smartest move?”
That shift — from advice-seeking to judgment — is what actually changes behaviour.

Hi, I’m Eli.
I’ve spent years inside ANZ tech recruitment , reviewing thousands of applications, sitting in hiring rooms, and seeing how decisions are actually made.
What I kept noticing wasn’t a lack of talent. It was capable people trying to make important career decisions without access to real context — interpreting silence, guessing why interviews didn’t convert, or second-guessing offers without knowing what mattered.
That gap between effort and clarity is why Careersy exists.
It’s not a course, and it’s not a content feed you’re expected to keep up with. It’s a place to bring real, live decisions and get grounded feedback from peers navigating the same market and from a tech recruiter who’s seen these decisions play out from the other side.
The community is built around shared signal: what’s working now in ANZ hiring, what’s changed, and how decisions are actually being made. Members dip in when it matters, get clarity, and move forward, without turning their career into a constant optimisation project.
If you’re navigating your next move and want real context, not guesswork, you’re in the right place.
See you inside ✌🏽
Cheers,
Eli
